Walter Mair is an award-winning composer celebrated for his innovative scores across film, television, and video games. He recently earned BAFTA and Ivor Novello nominations for his work on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which was also nominated for 7 awards at 2025’s G.A.N.G Awards, including Audio of the Year, Best Cinematic & Cutscene Audio, and Sound Design of the Year, solidifying his status as a leading composer in the gaming industry. Most recently, Walter was announced as the composer for dark fantasy RPG Lords of the Fallen 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the original 2023 release.
His talent has also been recognized with a Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA) win for the Apple+ series Liaison in 2023. Walter's impressive portfolio includes the action thriller The Bricklayer, which reached No. 2 at the U.S. Box Office upon its release in January and currently holds the No. 2 spot on Netflix US. Additionally, he scored T.I.M., Netflix’s No. 1 movie of summer 2023.
Walter's creative approach emphasizes originality and the exploration of sound, blending analog and digital synths with live orchestral arrangements while experimenting with post-recording techniques. Originally from Austria, he moved to London in 2006, where he established a cutting-edge recording studio in SoHo. As a member of both BAFTA and The Ivor's Academy, Walter remains a vital force in the world of entertainment composition, shaping its future with his innovative and emotionally resonant music.
